1. Scope of Services

Rooted Financial Wellness ("we," "us," or "Daniel Sotelo-Reiner") provides financial wellness coaching services, including one-on-one sessions, multi-session packages, and community programming as described on this website. Services are delivered remotely unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

2. What Coaching Is — and Isn't

Financial wellness coaching is an educational and supportive service. It is not financial advising, investment management, tax preparation, legal advice, or therapy. Daniel Sotelo-Reiner is not a licensed financial advisor, attorney, or therapist. Nothing shared during coaching sessions or on this website constitutes regulated financial or legal advice. You are responsible for all financial decisions you make.

Coaching sessions provide educational guidance and accountability support. The coach's role is to provide information, tools, and encouragement — implementing any changes is your responsibility. When questions or issues arise that fall outside the scope of financial wellness coaching, such as investment strategy, legal matters, or tax advice, appropriate referrals to qualified professionals will be made.

3. Client Responsibilities

By booking a session, you agree to:

• Be honest about your financial situation and goals. The more openly you engage, the more useful coaching will be.
• Be punctual for scheduled sessions, and provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
• Engage in good faith with the coaching process.
• Take responsibility for implementing changes discussed during sessions, and for all financial decisions and actions that result from coaching.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of booking unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon in writing. Sliding scale pricing is available — please reach out to discuss your situation before booking if cost is a barrier.

5. Refund Policy

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled session will receive a full refund or credit toward a future session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee at the coach's discretion. Refund terms for multi-session packages are discussed and agreed upon at the time of purchase.

6. Confidentiality & Respect

Everything you share during coaching sessions is kept strictly confidential. Information will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law. Both parties commit to maintaining respectful, judgment-free communication throughout the coaching relationship. Please note that no method of electronic communication is 100% secure.

7. Limitation of Liability

Rooted Financial Wellness is not liable for any financial outcomes resulting from coaching, use of this website, or any resources linked herein. Any decisions you make based on coaching or website content are made at your own risk. Our total liability for any claim arising from services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the session(s) in question.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms or the coaching relationship shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
